Composer Marc Evanstein’s composition based on pollen data from a sediment core in Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve. Through this translation from data to music, listeners are offered a window into the dynamic and interconnected quality of the natural world, and the way in which this balance has been impacted by human activities over the last 120 years.
