Pocket Opera presents Donizetti’s tragic masterpiece Lucia di Lammermoor. In a nation long divided by warring clans and hostile political factions, where family feuds continue on their own crazy momentum long after their origins have been forgotten – not unlike many parts of the world today — a passionate love, an inextinguishable fire, blazes forth with tragic yet glorious consequences.
Diane Grubbe has appeared as a soloist with the Siena Music Festival in Italy, the San Francisco Concerto Orchestra, L’Orchestre de Notre Dame in San Francisco and the Calabasas Chamber Orchestra in Southern California, with whom she recorded the Vivaldi Piccolo Concerto for their CD The Baroque Concerto.
